Mosley Street
Taken on Mosley Street in Manchester, one of my first & favourite street shots, it could almost pass for 1970's NY (if you squint hard enough!), was taken with a camera phone, but I kinda like the grainy quality it has..

Red Evening
This one was taken from our back yard, the sunset was producing the red colour on the back of the houses, so I took several shots varying composition and trying to get the foreground as black as possible.
This shot along with the one below was shortlisted for Salford Photography Competition and both were printed onto canvas and displayed in the tourist information centre inside The Lowry, which was cool (apart from the printers going out of their way apparently to lighten the black area of the above image making it look less impressive/contrasting imo)... although I didn't win a prize, all the short listed entrants got to keep the canvas prints of their photos, which will make a couple of nice Christmas presents for my family.

Millenium Bridge, Salford

This is the other image chosen, it was taken at the Flickr Manchester Group's Salford Quays meet up, and was taken on a whim rather than carefully composed and taken.. and that's how I like it.
Wendy's Old Fashioned Hamburgers, PA
This was taken somewhere is Pennsylvania, possibly near Westchester. February 2005 we went over to NY/PA and hung out with some friends for a few days who showed us the sights, I took this as I have a love of .. American stuff, gas stations, diners etc...
Schtopp
A camera-phone photo - Oh The Shame! This was taken waiting for the bus, after going out on NYE 2005. We were waiting for the bus/taxi on Salford Crescent and I remember Ant being worried about me having my phone out..
Snapple
Taken in August 2001 somewhere in New York. I can't remember where, partly because I don't remember taking the photo. On my trip to America that summer (for 1 month, solo) I took 24 rolls of film, and by the time I got this one developed I really could not remember taking it, but it's still one of my all time favourites, even though this scan isn't great quality.
Reflection

Taken opposite Salford Central train station, on what I think was my first flickr meet, I love the way the reflections in the windows look like they've been taken in black & white (no editing on this picture).
Lonely Road
This is one of my favourite photos I've taken. It was on a road running through the Sahara Desert in Tunisia, surrounded by salt lakes on either side, that make the water appear red. What you can't see is that behind me is around 200 tourists from the multiple coaches parked up all taking photos. Mainly inspired by Robert Frank's U.S. 285, New Mexico
